'Precious' Gift ~ BLOOD

I went to Pusat Darah Negara (PDN) yesterday to donate blood. My last donation was on 25 Mar 2007.

It took me less than 20 minutes to drain out 450ml of blood.

Donors are given some snacks as a refreshment after donating blood. I drank a cup of Milo and ate the sandwich and cake. It's too full for me to eat the fried mee and apple because I had my lunch earlier.

Yeah!!!! That's my 16th time. I started donating blood on 26 Sep 1995. I told myself that I want to donate blood at least thrice a year.

26 Sep 1995 to 29 Jun 2009 = I should have donated at least 42 times!!!

Look like I have failed in my mission :(

Zam-Zam Hair Oil for Grey Hair at Young Age?

What causes grey hair?

If you google it ~ Grey hair color typically occurs naturally as people age. For some people this can happen at a very young age (ie: at the age of 10 ~ like my case la). The same can be said for white hair. In some cases, grey hair may be caused by thyroid deficiencies or a deficiency of B12.

A friend of mine is asking me the other day whether I still dye my hair nowadays. I told her that I only do it every 4 to 6 months.

She asked me whether I want to try the Zam-Zam hair oil. She has grey hair at young age and she applies the hair oil every night before she goes to bed. That was about 20 years ago, WTF!!! She said the Zam-Zam hair oil did bring her hair back to black color.

I'm not sure whether the hair oil is still working for people with grey hair above age 30. Anyway, she went to one of those Indian shops at Brickfield and bought a bottle for me. It's costs RM3.80 per bottle with 125ml.

I will start applying the hair oil tonight. How long I got to wait to see the result? 20 years from now?

My 1st Mountain Climbing ~ Gunung Ledang

I climbed my 1st mountain, Gunung Ledang, on 23 May 2009. I have problem with my new laptop, the internet connection will hang up after 1 or 2 hours. I am still trying to fix it with the ASUS online technical team. I have re-installed the LAN driver last night, not sure the problem is solved or not.

Back to my mountain climbing, if you want to know more about Gunung Ledang or Mount Ophir, please read here.

Height: 1,276 m (4,186 ft)

To reach the management office, we got to drive through an oil palm plantation, I think about 5 or more kilometers from the main road. We reached there around 7.30 a.m.

Top : Group photo with total 36 climbers.
Bottom: KG Tan, the co-organiser, is giving some briefing and guide on mountain climbing.

We started our climb around 8.15 a.m.

Ledang has a various trails to the peak ~ we got to walk on the jungle trail and rock climbing either using rope or stairs.

At the Gua Kambing or translated as Goat Cave.

This is the starting of the rock climbing using rope.

Regular Ledang climbers called this as KFC (a.k.a Killer For Climbers) Rock.. hahaha

At the top of KFC rock, we saw a giant bonsai tree, wtf!!!

We took about 4 hours to reach the summit. With my regular RPM working out, I have no problem on the stamina to reach the summit =)

Finally.....

The view is not very good on that because of too cloudy. But I feel good on top of the mountain.

On the descending, it took us about 3.5 hours to reach the base camp. Half way thorugh the descending, we saw this chameleon. Could it be the Puteri Gunung Ledang???

And I am training hard for the next climb ~ Gunung Nuang.

Sg Chiling Waterfall, Kuala Kubu Bharu

I have been lazy to blog on my trip to Sg Chiling Falls on 1 May 2009.

Anyway, I managed to upload all the photo, here they are.

I was invited by Rachel to join her buddies to this waterfall. We arrived at the entrance in the morning.

Got to take some walk to the registration hut.

Every visitor got to sign in and out as well. And got to pay 50 sen per person {forgot to repay Steve... (^_~) }

An overview of the trail to the waterfall.

As you can see from the signboard..... the adventure has just started from this suspension bridge.

Only max 4 persons are allowed to cross the bridge at a time. According to the guard, this is to minimize the wear and tear.

The river crossing begins.....

But need to be careful, the trail is very deceiving. Always need to look out for the above crossing signboard before attempting to cross the river. We make a few mistakes... hahaha... because we are too excited to cross the river.

Trail to the 2nd crossing.

The water is very cooling.

Got to do some rock climbing as well.

Just leave your hiking or sport shoes at home. We only need a sandal with strap as we need to do a lot of river crossing.

And a walking stick is helpful when crossing the river.

Full of greenery view.

Some reminders for visitors.

Wow, there are fishes every way.

This is the final crossing to the waterfall.

The water level is quite deep at this crossing.

Finally..... it took us about 1 hour to reach here.

When we arrived at this waterfall, there are quite a number of people around this area.

Chiling watefall can be considered to have 3 level of vertical waterfalls. This is the bottom level.

We are on the way up to the middle and top level. Need to do some hiking to go up to the middle level.

Must be extra careful to walk at this path... very very dangerous especially if it rains. it could be very slippery.

Here is the middle or 2nd level waterfall.

We are at the top level and we can see some fella sun bathing down there.

* COOL!!! * \(^.^)/

Time to go down to the bottom level.

We came out from the waterfall and reached the registration hut around 3.00 p.m. (if I'm not mistaken.. hahaha)

If you like camping, here is the camping area opposite the registration hut.
